Wall Street Journal is reporting that according to internal sources, Johnson Controls Inc. is in advanced talks to buy Tyco International plc, creating a combined entity with annual revenues of approximately $47 billion. The rumored purchase price is in the $15-$20 billion range, which is a decent premium over Tyco's current market cap of $13 billion. A deal could be announced as early as Monday.
