Cyber security firm F-Secure announced that it has acquired UK-based Digital Assurance, a consulting firm that provides information security assessments to governments and clients in the financial, petrochemical, retail, communication, and defense industries.  Digital Assurance will be part of F-Secure's Cyber Security Service business unit and is not expected to have a material impact on F-Secure's financial outlook for 2017.  Deal terms were not disclosed.  

VISTA Technology Services Inc. announced that it has acquired General Scientific Corporation (GSC), a minority owned small business with a strong presence in Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).  GSC's capabilities include anti-submarine warfare, acoustic processors, mine warfare, logistics, asset management, earned value management and technical support services.  Deal terms were not disclosed.  

General Dynamics announced that it has acquired the Electronics and Communications Division of Advatech Pacific, which designs and manufactures tactical, cyber-secure and cross-domain products for DoD and international military customers.  TACDS is a ruggedized, NSA-certified solution found on a variety of armored and ISR platforms.  CenturionCDS is designed for dismounted military personnel.  The acquired business will be part of the General Dynamics Mission Systems business unit.  Deal terms were not disclosed.

Belden Inc. announced that it has agreed to acquire Thinklogical from Boston-based PE firm Riverside Partners in a deal worth $160 million.  Thinklogical is a developer and manufacturer of high-performance fiber optic-based video and switching equipment used for real-time enterprise video management by clients in markets including military and broadcasting.  The company generated 2016 revenues of $51 million and EBITDA of $12 million.  The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2017.

PE-firm J.F. Lehman & Company announced that it has acquired PSSC Holding Co. and its subsidiary BEI Precision Systems & Space Company Inc. (BEI PSSC), a provider of high-accuracy positioning sensor technologies and advanced design, manufacturing and testing for resilient products and systems.  The company's products are used in defense and space applications.

Deal terms were not disclosed.  Evercore Partners advised J.F. Lehman while KippsDeSanto & Co. advised BEI PSSC.    

Employee-owned Applied Research Associates Inc. (ARA) announced that it has acquired Neya Systems LLC, a developer of unmanned systems technologies.  Neya works with clients in the defense, homeland security and commercial markets.  Deal terms were not disclosed.  

ECS Federal LLC announced that it has acquired InfoReliance, a provider of cybersecurity, cloud computing, software engineering solutions and managed services to government clients.  InfoReliance is projected to add $150 million of revenue and expand ECS's agile software delivery capability supporting the Navy, USMC, USPS, FBI, the Intelligence Community and DOL.  Kipps DeSanto was the financial advisor to InfoReliance.  Deal terms were not disclosed.  

Platinum Equity announced that it has agreed to acquire American Traffic Solutions (ATS), a provider of road safety cameras and toll and violations management solutions serving more than 3,500 school bus stop arm, red-light and speed safety cameras.  Deal terms were not disclosed.  

Orbis Technologies Inc. and RSI Content Solutions announced they have merged, forming a company that provides enterprise content and information management solutions to the U.S. military, Intelligence Community, federal agencies and publishers and media companies.  Orbis also brings Big Data capabilities.  The combined company will continue with the Orbis Technologies name going forward.  Deal terms were not disclosed.

Buchanan & Edwards Inc. announced that it has acquired The Reports and Requirements Company (R2C) LLC, a provider of national security consulting services specializing in cyber intelligence, intelligence collection, training support, and data governance and analysis.  R2C will continue as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Buchanan & Edwards.  Deal terms were not disclosed.
