It's been a busy M&A day for Honeywell as the company announced a second transaction after the earlier COM DEV announcement. Honeywell entered into an agreement to acquire Xtralis from private equity firms Pacific Equity Partners and Blum Capital Partners in a deal worth $480 million. Based in Dublin, Ireland, and with approximately 500 employees, Xtralis is a leading provider of aspirating smoke detection, advanced perimeter security technologies and video analytics software. The company's smoke detection solutions protect commercial buildings, iconic sites, and critical infrastructures including data centers and airports.
Alex Ismail, President and CEO of Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions comments: "Xtralis' early smoke detection and advanced security technologies and video analytics software complement our growing Security and Fire business, and show our commitment to making the world safer and more secure." The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2016. Deal terms were not disclosed. Comments are closed.
