The Carlyle Group and The Chertoff Group have acquired a majority stake in Coalfire Systems, Inc., a cybersecurity-focused firm that specializes in cyber risk advisory, compliance assessments, technical testing and software services for commercial and government clients. The company's 300 employees in the United States and United Kingdom serve clients in sectors including technology, retail, payments, healthcare, financial services, education, government, and utilities. While not publicly disclosed, we estimate annual revenues exceed $30M.
Latham & Watkins and PricewaterhouseCoopers served as advisors to Carlyle. Kirkland & Ellis served as legal counsel to The Chertoff Group. Portico Capital Securities LLC and Cooley LLP served as legal counsel to Coalfire. Deal terms were not announced. Comments are closed.
