Booz Allen Hamilton announced that it has acquired the software services unit of SPARC, a Charleston, South Carolina-based technology firm. The acquired unit has approximately 270 employees and provides software development services for the VA and other public and commercial clients. According to the press release, "the acquisition will expand and enhance the firm's ability to integrate technical and mission-related requirements to deliver technologies like cloud, mobile, and modular services using contemporary methodologies such as Agile, DevOps and open source."
The services group grew its revenue by 26 percent in 2014 and is expected to be immediately accretive while adding approximately $50M of revenue during Booz Allen's fiscal year 2017. Deal terms were not disclosed. The McLean Group represented SPARC on the transaction. Comments are closed.
