Accenture announced that it has agreed to acquire Defense Point Security LLC (DPS), a cybersecurity company specializing in supporting the US federal government with cyber defense services and solutions including SOC expertise, cyber operations, security engineering and cyber analytics. Based in Alexandria, Virginia, DPS had 2015 revenues of $19.6 million and was called on of the "World's Hottest and Most Innovative Cybersecurity Companies to watch in 2016" by Cybersecurity Ventures. Once the deal closes, DPS will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Accenture Federal Services (AFS). Deal terms were not disclosed.
Winchester Electronics Corporation announced that it has completed the acquisition of Tekna Seal LLC from ARC Group Worldwide Inc. Winchester is a portfolio company of Snow Phipps Group. Based in Minneapolis, MN, Tekna produces high performance hermetic connectors used in the medical, military and aerospace end markets. The purchase price for Tekna is $10.5 million.
L-3 Communications announced that it has completed it's acquisition of Micreo Limited on September 30, 2016. Based in Brisbane, Australia, Micreo provides RF and photonic products for radar and electronic warfare to military clients. The business is projected to generate $27 million in revenue for calendar year 2017. Deal terms were not disclosed.
