The Safariland Group announced that it has acquired Pacific Safety Products Inc. (PSP), Aegis Engineering Limited, and LBA International Limited. The acquisitions, which were made through Safariland's Canadian wholly owned subsidiary, expand Safariland's international presence in the body armor and tactical equipment markets.
Based in Arnprior, Canada, PSP is the largest body armor manufacturer in Canada, providing body armor, balistic blankets, tactical clothing and protective products against chemical and biological hazards. PSP's cients include the Canadian Department of National Defense and various Canadian government and law enforcement agencies. Based in the UK, Aegis manufactures body armor, ballistic helments, shields, blankets and rifle plates. Also based in the UK, LBA provides hard armor plates and balistic helments to law enforcement.
PSP was acquired for approximately CAD $15.4 million. Financial terms were not disclosed for the Aegis and LBA deals.
CHA Consulting Inc. announced that it has acquired an interest in American Fire Protection Inc. (AFP), a provider of custom design, engineering, installation, and maintenance of fire protection systems. AFP's clients include those in the automotive, government/military, manufacturing, and distribution/warehouse markets. Deal terms were not disclosed, however, the press release states that "this transaction allows for CHA to actively support AFP's growth strategies while allowing AFP to manage their daily operations." Harpeth Capital LLC served as financial advisor to AFP.
Belcan LLC, a portfolio company of AE Industrial Partners LLC (AEI), announced that it has acquired The Kemtah Group. Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kemtah provides various IT services including software/application development, cybersecurity, and mobility support. The deal marks the fourth acquisition Belcan has completed since AEI acquired the company 18 months ago. PricewaterhouseCoopers served as financial advisor to Belcan and AEI, while Bluestone Capital Partners represented Kemtah. Deal terms were not disclosed.
MacAulay-Brown Inc. (MacB) announced that it has acquired Enlighten IT Consulting (EITC), a provider of secure cloud engineering, big data analytics, and software solutions in the Defense, Intelligence, and Commercial markets. EITC's customers include US Army Cyber Command, DISA, and US Cyber Command. The company's offering include its Rapid Analytic Deployment and Management Framework, network operations monitoring, cyber threat detection and mitigation, and insider threat identification.
EITC will continue to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of MacB. Deal tearms were not disclosed. Bluestone Capital Partners served as the financial advisor to EITC.
