Motorola Solutions announced that it has completed its acquisition of Airwave which was previously owned by the Macquarie Group through its Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 2. Airwave is the largest private operator of a public safety network in the world, delivering mission-critical voice and data communications to various emergency and public service agencies in Great Britain. The consideration for the business was a net cash payment of approximately $1 billion and a deferred cash payment of approximately $90 million.
