Accenture announced that it has agreed to acquire Defense Point Security LLC (DPS), a cybersecurity company specializing in supporting the US federal government with cyber defense services and solutions including SOC expertise, cyber operations, security engineering and cyber analytics. Based in Alexandria, Virginia, DPS had 2015 revenues of $19.6 million and was called on of the "World's Hottest and Most Innovative Cybersecurity Companies to watch in 2016" by Cybersecurity Ventures. Once the deal closes, DPS will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Accenture Federal Services (AFS). Deal terms were not disclosed.
